Hillary's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Comment on this recipe

For softer cookies, I will take them out when they just start to get brown around the edges...they might look like they are not done yet.

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Beat together shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs. Gradually add flour mixture and oatmeal. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto greased cookie sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
