Mom's Apple Cobbler

6 cups apples, peeled, cored, sliced or small chunks
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
20 ounces refrigerated cookie dough
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine prepared apples, brown sugar, flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, allspice and lemon juice. Mix together. Spoon into ungreased 9x9-inch pan. Drop teaspoonfuls of cookie dough evenly over apples. Combine sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over dough. Bake 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
