Roast Beef Tenderloin

Ingredients

4 to 4-1/2 pound beef tenderloin
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup burgundy wine
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

Combine all ingredients and marinate beef in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Remove from sauce. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place meat in a shallow pan and brush with the marinade. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees. Baste with marinade occasionally and continue baking for 35 minutes for medium rare, less time for rare and approximately 45 minuties to 1 hour for well done. Makes 6 servings.
