1 cut-up frying chicken
2 pounds sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
1 bottle (8-ounces) Thousand Island dressing
6-8 slices Swiss cheese
Place chicken in bottom of 9x13-inch buttered pan. Spread sauerkraut over chicken. Pour dressing over top of all. Bake at 325 degrees, covered, for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 25 minutes more. Take out of oven and lay cheese over the whole top. Serve after the cheese melts. Serve with rye bread.
