Betty Jo's Green Jello Salad

1 box (3 ounces) lime Jello
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1 container (24 ounces) small curd cottage cheese
1 cup chopped walnuts, divided


Mix dry Jello mix, pineapple and cottage cheese in a medium bowl. Add 1/2 cup walnuts to the mixture. Place the other 1/2 cup on top. Cover and refrigerate for about one hour or until ready and set.
