Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

Ingredients

1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
3 to 4 minced garlic cloves
1/4 to 1/3 cup sugar (to taste)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1-1/2 cups sour cream

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, onion and garlic. Simmer until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add sugar and simmer until dissolved. Cool mixture to room temperature. Stir in mayonnaise and sour cream. Add salt and pepper to taste. Makes approximately 1-1/2 cups. Serve over green salad.

1989 — 25 years ago: Beginning this fall, Black Hawk College will offer a continuing education course in horseback riding at the Wright Way Equestrian Center, Moline, located just east of the Deere Administration Center.
