Applesauce Bread

Ingredients

1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
English walnuts, chopped, optional

Instructions

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour and dry ingredients. Mix well. Add applesauce and walnuts; mix well. Pour in greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Test with toothpick.
