Never Fail Fudge (microwave)

1 pound powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Put powdered sugar, cocoa and milk in an 8x8-inch square microwave dish. Cut in the butter. Do NOT stir ingredients together! Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until the butter is melted. Take out of the microwave and mix with a fork, getting out all of the lumps, then add the vanilla and nuts. Let cool. Then cut into 1x1-inch squares. Keep covered.
