Judy's Toffee Bars

Ingredients

BARS:
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg yolk
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
FROSTING:
3 tablespoons margarine
8 tablespoons cocoa (dry)
3 tablespoons milk
2 cups powdered sugar
Pinch (1/8 teaspoon) of salt

Instructions

For the bars, mix ingredients together like a pie dough and flatten into a 9x12-inch ungreased pan. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 15 minutes. For frosting, melt margarine, cocoa and milk. Add powdered sugar and salt. Frost while still warm and cut in squares.
