Mrs. Huff's Good Oatmeal and Coconut Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon soda
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
2 cups coconut


Mix all ingredients and drop by teaspoon onto a well- greased cookie sheet. Press with a fork and bake at 350 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.
