Christmas Tree Cake and Frosting

Ingredients

1 package (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
1 package (4 serving size) Jello brand pistachio flavored instant pudding mix
4 eggs
1-1/4 cups water
1/4 cup of oil
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
7 drops green food coloring (optional)
Fluffy vanilla frosting:
1-1/2 cups cold milk
1 envelope Dream Whip
1 package (4 servings) Jello instant vanilla pudding
Baker's angel flake coconut tinted green
Gumdrops

Instructions

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil, extract and coloring in large bowl and mix. Blend then beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 4 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean and cake begins to pull from sides. Do not overbake. Cool on rack for 15 minutes. For fluffy frosting, pour 1-1/2 cups cold milk into deep narrow-bottom mixer bowl. Add 1 envelope Dream Whip whipped topping mix and 1 package (4 serving size) package Jello brand vanilla flavored instant pudding. Beat slowly until well blended. Gradually increase beating speed high and whip until mixture will form soft peaks, 4 to 6 minutes. 3 cups. Frost cake top and sides. Mark shape of Christmas tree and sprinkle with tined coconut. Decorate with gumdrops.
