Cranberry Waldorf Salad

1/2 pound fresh or frozen cranberries (cut in half)
3/4 cup sugar
3 cups miniature colored marshmallows
2 cups red apples, chopped
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 can (8 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup seedless green grapes, cut in half
1 cup heavy whipping cream, stiffly beaten

In large bowl, combine cranberries and sugar. Let stand for 30 minutes. Add the next five ingredients and mix well. Gently fold in whipped cream. Chill for 1 hour or until ready to serve. Makes 10 1/2 cup servings.
