Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Mix 2/3 cup sugar, butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Sir in flour and mix well. Press dough on bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of lightly greased 13x9-inch pan. Bake 15-17 minutes at 350 degrees until edges are light brown. Beat brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, salt and eggs with a spoon. Stir in pecans. Pour over crust. Bake 25-30 minutes or until set. Loosen edges from sides of pan while warm. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
