Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, beaten
3 cups milk
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Whipped topping

Instructions

Stir together sugar, cocoa, conrstarch and salt in medium suacepan. Combine eggs and milk; sir into sugar mixture, blending well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly just until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips, butter and vanilla. Stir until chocolate chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Pour into crust. Press plastic wrap onto pie surface. Refriegerate 3 to 4 hours or until firm. Remove plastic. Garnish with whipped topping.
