Ingredients

2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 package (6 ounces) chocolate chips
1 cup flaked coconut
2 cups corn flakes (of Special K if desired)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine egg whites, salt and vanilla and beat until stiff but not dry. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until stiff and satiny. Fold in chocolate chips, coconut and corn flakes. Drop by teaspoonsful on well-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool on racks.

1988 -- 25 years ago: Hampton's sesquicentennial committee and the Hampton HistoricalSociety have scheduled a full slate of activities, which will be held throughout the year, to celebrate the village's 150th birthday. The first celebration will be the Memorial Dayprogram at 10 a.m. May 30, at the Brettun and Black Store Museum on River Road. Therewill be a sesquicentennial display.
