Taco Platter Dip

1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1(16 ounce) jar salsa or picante sauce
1 1/2 cups lettuce, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Sliced black olives (optional)
Tortilla chips

Combine sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning with a mixer. Spread mixture on a 12" or 14" platter. Spread the salsa or picante sauce evenly over the top. Add lettuce, tomato, cheese and olives, if using. Serve with chips.
