Chicken and Biscuits

1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-3/4 cup chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
2 cups chicken, diced
1 cup carrots, diced
1 cup peas

Heat margarine over low heat. Blend in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook uncovered over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Stir in chicken and vegetables. Serve over biscuits.
