Caramel Pecan Crispix Mix

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 cups Crispix cereal
1 cup whole pecans

Instructions

Bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil for 2 minutes in a heavy saucepan. Put the cereal and pecans in a large baking pan or roaster pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Pour the hot syrup over the cereal and pecans and stir until well coated. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Stir and put back into the oven for 8 more minutes. Watch carefully so that it doesn't burn. Cool and store in an airtight container. Makes about 7 cups.
