Spiced Pineapple Chunks

1 large can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks packed in juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
3 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves

Drain pineapple, reserve juice and set pineapple aside. Combine reserved juice, sugar, vinegar, stick cinnamon and cloves in a 1-quart microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for five minutes. Add pineapple chunks, microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir and return to microwave for an additional 3 minutes. Cool, and store in covered container. Serve on picks. These are a great addition to a tray of fresh fruit, especially nice with strawberries and melon.
