Taco Soup

Ingredients

1/2 pound ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 ounces) whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans or red beans, undrained
2 cups water
2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
4 ounces cheddar or colby-jack cheese, shredded
1 package (9.25 ounces) corn chips

Instructions

Brown ground beef and onion in a 5-quart dutch oven over medium heat. Add tomatoes, corn, beans, water, taco seasoning, garlic powder and seasoning salt. Stir, cover pan and simmer gently over low to medium heat for 20 minutes. Top with shredded cheese and corn chips just before serving.
