Comment on this recipe

This pizza is like a deep dish pizza and is delicious and very easy to make.

Ingredients

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon black peper
2 large eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 pound ground beef or bulk Italian sausage, cooked and drained
1 small onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
Additional toppings, such as pepperoni, onion, green pepper, etc.
1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese or pizza cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Greas and flour a pizza pan or 10x15-inch rimmed baking sheet. Combine flour, salt, oregano, pepper, eggs and milk and mix well to form a runny batter. Pour batter in pan and tilt pan around until bottom is evenly coated. Sprinkle the cooked meat, onions, mushrooms and other toppings of your choice over the batter. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle on pizza sauce. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. Bake for about 5 minutes more or until cheese is bubbly. Slice and serve.
