Three-Ounce Cake Mix Upsizer

Comment on this recipe

My cake from a mix seemed to be smaller. Then I saw new boxes were 15.25 ounces. The old ones were 18.25 ounces. I found this recipe that will size it back up to 18.25 ounces. It works. The cake is larger and lighter.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

Mix well and store in small jar. Add 3 ounces or 6 tablespoons to cake mix.
