Italian Pizzelles

"You need a Pizzelle iron for these."

6 eggs
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine ("I use 1/2 margarine and 1/2 butter."), melted and cooled
2 tablespoons vanilla or anise flavoring or 1 teaspoon anise oil
3-1/2 cups flour (approximately)
4 teaspoons baking powder

Beat eggs and add sugar gradually. Beat until smooth. Add cooled, melted margarine and add anise or vanilla flavoring.
Sift flour and baking powder; add to egg mixture. Dough will be sticky. Drop by teaspoon on pizzelle iron. Make sure iron is good and hot when you start.
