No Brown Beef Stew

Ingredients

2 pounds stew meat
1 cup canned tomatoes
1 tablespoon sugar
6 small carrots, cut in strips
3 medium-size potatoes, quartered
1/2 cup diced celery
1 onion, diced
3 tablespoons tapioca
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 slice of bread, broken into bits
1 cup water

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees for 3 hours.
