Deviled Swiss Steak

1-1/2 pounds sirloin steak
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups canned tomatoes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper

Brown steak and onion in vegetable oil. Mix tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Pour over the meat mixture. Heat until boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours
