Grilled Beef Sandwiches

1 tablespoon dry onion soup mix
Dash of pepper
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
8 slices bread
8 thin slices of cooked roast beef
4 slices Swiss cheese

Soften onion soup mix in 1 tablespoon water. Stir in pepper and butter. Spread on both sides of each slice of bread. Top half the slices with roast beef, cheese, then remaining bread. Brown sandwiches on both sides on griddle until cheese begins to melt. Makes 4 sandwiches.
