The Quad Cities outdoorsmen and women are a vital part of this community. But what makes this community ideal for your outdoor activities is what I'd like to know.

Since moving to the area last August, I have had a chance to meet a lot of the great outdoorsmen through various outdoor groups and events. It is with honor that I am a part of the Quad Cities outdoors community, but it is important to me that I am in tune with the readers of the outdoor page.

Keep in mind that I am constantly looking for fellow outdoorsmen to feature in articles and places and events as well, and I am looking for a little help. Do me a favor and fill out my Quad City Outdoorsman Survey and drop it in the mail to me at 1747 14th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265. This will help keep me informed with issues and items that are important.

Your responses may be published to share with the readers, but even more importantly, you will have a say in what represents us in the paper when it comes to my outdoor column.

1. What is your favorite outdoor activity?

2. Do you hunt, fish or both?

3. What type of game do you hunt?

4. Do you enjoy archery?

5. Do you fish the Rock River or the Mississippi River?

6. If so, what is your primary focus (cat, bass, etc.)?

7. Are you involved in outdoor groups or clubs?

8. Do you hunt public hunting ground?

9. Do you mushroom hunt?

10. What is your favorite outdoor show on TV?

11. Do you actively take your children hunting or fishing?

12. What is your biggest accomplishment in the world of the outdoors?

13. What would you like to see in an outdoor page?

14. What is your favorite aspect of hunting?

15. What is your favorite aspect of fishing?

16. Who would you like to see a feature story on?

17. What is your favorite camouflage pattern?

18. What do you fell is the most under-mentioned outdoor activity?

19. What can we do as outdoorsmen to preserve our hunting and fishing

heritage?

20. Additional comments:

Keep in mind that without your interaction there is no way

to know how to best serve you. Take the time to fill out my survey and

you too will have a voice in the future of my outdoor column. Together

we can put out the best that the Quad Cities outdoorsmen and women have

to offer.
